The countrywide flood situation has normalised as the river Indus has come down from very high flood level to medium flood stage with outflow of 4,40,000 cusecs of water into the Indus delta, while at Guddu & Sukkur is in Low flood level. Meanwhile the Meteorological Department has said that seasonal low lies over north Balochistan and its adjoining areas, weak monsoon currents are penetrating into central and upper parts of the country.
A shallow westerly trough is present over upper parts of the country and likely to move north-eastward in next 12 to 18 hours. Another westerly wave is likely to grip upper parts of the country on Saturday and persists till Monday.
WEATHER OUTLOOK FOR NEXT 48 HOURS Mainly hot and humid weather is expected in most parts of the country. However, rain-thundershower is expected at isolated places in Malakand, Hazara, Kohat, Bannu, D.I. Khan, Peshawar, Mardan, Zhob, Sargodha, Lahore, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi/Islamabad divisions, upper FATA and Kashmir.
