Algeria plans to cut government spending by 9 percent next year due to the collapse in prices for its oil exports, Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal said. "We need courageous decisions for 2016, so we have decided on a 9 percent cut in the budget," Sellal told a meeting of local government officials, according to the state news service on Saturday. He also predicted the economy would grow by 4.6 percent in 2016. It is forecast to grow 4 percent in 2015.
