"After the amazing response and winning huge success, the association and the Ecommerce Gateway Pakistan have decided to hold an International Textile Asia Exhibition every year in August at the Expo Centre in Lahore for at least the next five years," Association Central Chairman Ijaz Khokhar announced at the concluding ceremony of the exhibition on the third day on Monday.
He said 55,000 people visited the exhibition during first two days while more than 100,000 visitors registered their presence in textile fairs in three days and announced that that year the show was dominant by mainly Chinese companies but next year "we will invite companies from Germany and the rest of Europe" to showcase their brands in the Textile Asia Exhibition in Lahore. Dr Khurshid Nizam said the International Textile and Garment Machinery Show was 100 percent Pakistani brand and the only UFI Approved Event of the industry in South Asia, which provided enormous opportunities of learning, information sharing, mutual co-operation and combined projects to all the stakeholders in textile sector in whole South Asia.
