The Sindh Home Minister, Sohail Anwar Sial, here on Monday formally inaugurated a police station near Seaview. A police spokesman said that it has been named as Sahil police station and located Karachi South's Darakhsan area. A police posse consisting of 50 officers and jawans has been provided for the Sahil along with three police mobiles and five motorcycles.
The Minister said on the occasion that the setting up of the Sahil police station is aimed at promptly addressing complaints pertaining to street crimes in the area and for effective police action against the accused. He said that the provincial government is very much determined for controlling crimes and that every possible step is being undertaken for ensuring peace in all the main cities in the province especially in Karachi. The Minister pointed out that steps are also being taken for the provision of logistics support, latest weapons etc to the police besides facilities pertaining to forensic science.
