Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah desires that the domestic and foreign investment should be enhanced in order to promote business and trade activities in the province. This was informed at the `Ease of doing business' meeting held here on Friday. The meeting was convened by the Sindh Chief Secretary, Muhammad Siddiq Memon. However, owing to his preoccupation in the federal capital, the meeting was chaired by the Senior Member Board of Revenue, Muhammad Wasim.
He informed the meeting that business facilitation centres have been established in the province. The staff of the concerned departments has been deployed at these centres to render the required services for the promotion of domestic and foreign investment. It was further pointed out that a working group had already been formed which consisted of representatives of Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Sindh Board of Revenue, Sindh Board of Investment, Excise and Taxation Department, Local Government and other institutions.
