Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) Chairman Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao said that tribesmen had rendered matchless sacrifices in the on-going war against terrorism and they deserved maximum compensation in order to bring them back into mainstream. In a statement issued from QWP Secretariat, Watan Kor, he criticised government compensation plan of giving three lacs to the dead and one lac to the injured persons in the recent blast at Jamrud in Khyber Agency and added that the government should stop discriminate policy with the people of Fata.
He demanded government to announce same number of compensation amount to the victims of terror incidents in Fata as it gives to the dead and injured victims in other parts of the country. He said that since 9/11 the tribal belt had been suffered the most in the war against terror and its total infrastructure had been destroyed. He maintained the tribal people were facing numerous problems and such behaviour by the government would further increase their sense of deprivation. He asked government to stop the discriminating policy with the tribesmen and announced mega projects in the area in order bring them at par with rest of the people in the country.
