Training programme on 'University functional rules, budget & cash flow' held

A three-days training program on 'University functional rules, budget and Cash flow' was held at the Agriculture University of Peshawar (AUP), here on Wednesday. The training was conducted by the university Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) in collaboration with Higher Education Commission under its IOT project, supervised by Director QEC Dr Farmanullah. The program aimed to enhance capacity of staff of various sections of the varsity regarding functional rules, and other aspects. Around 35 staff members participated in three-days training program.
The participants of the workshop were provided information about functional rules, budget making, and cash flow and record maintenance other substances. Ajmal Khan, Account officer, AG office, Chief Economist Fata, Shah Mehmood, Assistant Director Finance of the university, Gohar Ali, as resource person of the training. Dr Zahoor Ahmad Swati, Vice Chancellor of the university, while addressing the participants of the training lauded the efforts of the organisers. He said the training was largely successful and provided useful assistance to faculty members. He assured full cooperation on part of the varsity for organizing such training program in future.
Swati appreciated the efforts of the Quality Enhancement Cell, organizers and HEC for successful conduct of the training. He stressed upon the participants that whatever they learnt during the training, must apply for better management and enforcement of the existing functional rules of the varsity.
Vice chancellor said it was essential to enhance capacity of the staffs for smooth functioning of management and financial system of the university. Director QEC said the cell will arrange more training program for staff members of the university and sister institutions in collaboration with HEC. He said a comprehensive strategy has adopted to build up capacity of the varsity staff on modern line. At the end of the training program, Agricultural University Vice-Chancellor Zahoor Ahmed Swati distributed certificates among the participants.
