Crime cases on the rise in Islamabad

Various types of crime, including robberies, car-lifting, murder, kidnapping, continued to increase in the federal capital, belying the tall claims of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) police of controlling the crimes. Statistics gathered by Business Recorder indicated that various police stations in the city, registered six cases of robberies and dacoities, five of vehicles-theft, three murder cases, kidnapping of a women and 11 cases dishonouring of cheques during the last week.
The city's urban area, like previous week, remained favourite for auto theft and people involved in white collar crimes, while the city's rural areas remained a safe heaven for robbers and murderers. During the last week, Karachi Company police registered two cases of robberies and one case of cheque dishonouring. Unknown robbers broke into the house of Shabir Ahmad of sector G-9/1 and looted gold ornaments, cash, bonds and USP worth Rs 16,20,000 located in the limits of Karachi Company police station. During another incident Saleem Shah of sector G-9/1 lodged a complaint with Karachi company police station that one of his relatives stole gold ornament worth Rs 35,00,000 from his house.
Industrial Area police station registered one case of auto theft, purse snatching and cheque dishonouring. An FX car (HR-9433), owned by one Muhammad Akram of sector I-9/4, was stolen. Iftikhar Ahamd lodged a complaint with Industrial Area police station that two armed person snatched Rs 26,000 from him at gunpoint when he was on his way to home.
Shehzad Town police station registered two cases of murder, including that of a woman during the last week. Anwar Sher informed Shehzad Town PS that the accused Muhammad Kabeer, Sir Syed and Nawaz Ali shot dead his daughter. Similarly, Asmatullah lodged a complaint with Shehzad Town police that two unknown men opened fire at his father Attahullah and shot him dead. During the last week Secretariat police station registered one case each of murder, kidnapping of a women and cheque dishonouring.
Jumma Khan of Shadra Road complained to Secretariat police station that his brother Itbar Khan was allegedly killed by Hussain Khan along with his son Ismail. Amoon Mashi informed secretariat police station that Yousaf Mashi has allegedly kidnapped his wife Shahani. Lohi Bheer police station registered one case each of auto theft and robbery. Auto thieves stole a Corolla car (ANP-227).
Muhammad Murtaza of Media Town informed Lohi Bheer police station that gold ornaments worth Rs 55,00,000 were stolen from his house. During the same period Sihala police registered one case each of auto theft and robbery. One motorcycle (RIN-7996) was also stolen. Hafiz Muhammad Arshad informed Sihala police station that unknown robbers stole cash, gold ornament and other valuables worth Rs 16,00,00 from his house at Model town.
Aabpara police registered two cases of cheque dishonouring and one case of auto theft, Kohsar registered six cases of cheque dishonouring, Ramna police registered one case each of cheque dishonouring and robbery during the last week while Shalimar police registered one robbery case. Koral and Kanna police registered two cases of fake cheques.
