Six people died after a primary school collapsed at a town near Jos, central Nigeria, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) said on Monday. Three boys, two girls and a teacher were killed in the incident on Sunday at the Abu Naima school in Bukuru, NEMA local co-ordinator Mohammed Abdulsalam said. Abdulsalam had previously given a toll of five people dead and 24 injured. Investigators are looking at whether the addition of extra floors onto the single-storey building was a factor, he said.
