Construction projects: Minister discusses manpower export with Qatari government

Provincial Minister for Labour and Human Resources Raja Ashfaq Sarwar has said that Pakistani labourers have played important role in the completion of difficult construction projects in Gulf countries. He stated this while talking to Chief Executive Staff Source International Ashoq Shrestha, a renowned Human Resource Company of Qatar, Azeem Saleem, business development consultant Doha Qatar and Irfan Qaisar Sheikh Chairman TEVTA during the meeting.
Matters relating to export of manpower between Qatari government, construction companies and Punjab government were discussed. Raja Ashfaq Sarwar said that his meetings with various companies and Qatari government have yielded far reaching results and there has been a considerable increase in the demand of Pakistani workforce in Qatar. He said that the skilled workers of Punjab have the abilities to complete construction projects in Qatar. Sarwar said that Punjab government has further upgraded its training institutions for providing technical training according to the demands of Gulf countries. Chief Executive Staff Source International, Ashoq Shrestha said that Qatar is giving preference to the skilled youth of Punjab for its mega construction projects. He said that his visit is aimed at to give final shape to the security clearance, relaxation in visa restrictions and other matters between Qatar and Pakistan.
The minister expressed the hope that Qatari government will give due share to Pakistan in FIFA World Cup 2022 and other Gulf countries in their construction projects. He said that Punjab government has taken vigorous steps for ensuring provision of social security facilities, security clearance, vaccination, one window employment cell, visa and other facilities with regard to labour export to Qatar.
