District Nazim, Peshawar, Mohammad Asim Khan has directed Deputy Commissioner (DC) Peshawar, District Health Officer (DHO) and Director Health Regulatory Authority (HRA) for taking stern action against quacks and unregistered medical stores in the district.
The directives have been issued on growing public demand of the people for taking action against quacks and unregistered medical stores and their complete abolition in the district.
In a communiqué issued to Deputy Commissioner District Health Officer (DHO) and Health Regulatory Authority (HRA) for launching a grand operation against quacks and unregistered medical stores.
For this purpose, the district has been divided into four zones and formation of teams headed by Additional Assistant Commissioners (AACs) while on the basis of past good performance, Assistant Commissioner (AC). Mumtaz Ahmad has been recommended as focal person.
The District Nazim has made it clear that the provincial metropolis will be cleansed of quacks and unregistered medical stores. He has also called for submission of a daily report regarding action in this regard. The District Nazim has also directed general public for pinpointing such activities and establishment of a Control Room in DC Office and publicising of its telephone number so it could be contacted easily.
