Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday summoned a deputy director of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and assistant commissioner Islamabad on a petition filed against the raid on the ex-staff officer of former chief minister Balochistan Aslam Raisani.
Shahana Imran, wife of Imran Gichki, ex-staff officer of Raisani made these allegations in the petition she filed in the IHC against the raid of NAB on their residence at Bahria Town earlier this month.
The NAB officials and an assistant commissioner (rural) of Islamabad had raided the house of Gichki on September 1, 2015. The petitioner claimed that the NAB team during the said raid allegedly seized foreign currency and gold ornaments.
However, Ghicki reportedly had dodged the raiding team and managed to escape. She said that Gichki had served with Raisani as staff officer from 2009 to 2013.
The petition claimed that her husband has joined the inquiry before NAB and has been appearing before the investigating officer as and when called by him and has not absconded or disappeared from the investigation/inquiry proceedings.
After hearing preliminary arguments, IHC Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui issued notices to the deputy director of NAB as well as assistant commissioner rural of Islamabad and adjourned the hearing till September 30.
