Medical Superintendent Civil Hospital Hyderabad(MS CHH) Dr Wajid Memon has informed that 50-bedded new ICU building is near to complete at a cost of Rs 130 million which will not only cater the medical needs of Hyderabad citizens but also people of interior Sindh would be benefited. He was speaking to the media men during his visit to different wards of Civil Hospital Hyderabad.
Dr Wajid Memon said that on the directives of Sindh Health Minister Jam Mehtab Dahar, Hyderabad and people of interior Sindh were being provided standard medical facilities with lowest charges or free of cost. He informed that Hospital's Pathological Lab has latest and modern test machines where standard tests were being done while 40 City Scan and 7 to 8 MRIs were being carried out daily with 70 percent discount, he said.
Dr Wajid Memon has informed that a six-bedded separate portion for women was also being in Emergency Ward of the hospital while life savings drugs were available in the Emergency Ward, he added. He further informed that 60 beds, 06 stretchers and 04 ambulances are available in Emergency Ward where about 1400 patients come daily. He claimed that hospital has no any ghost employee. He informed that hospital was facing shortage of young doctors and para-medical staff for that authority concerned had been contacted. He also informed that Civil Hospital Hyderabad has been facing security problems particularly in Emergency Ward where relatives of patients often misbehaved with doctors and medical staff and also cause damage to hospital and added that authorities concerned had been informed and hopefully the issue will be resolved soon.
Dr Wajid Memon informed that due to encroachments around the hospital particularly on the road leading to Emergency Ward and OPD often cause traffic jam problem and patients in emergency suffered. He informed that administration concerned was informed number of times about this problems but no action has been taken in this regard.
