Experts propose steps aimed at improving Pesco's performance

A seminar on "How to turn around Pesco" was held at Wapda House, Peshawar in collaboration with USAID.
Chairman Board of Directors Pesco Malik Muhammd Asad Khan, Member Qamar Zaman, Member Colonel Jahanzeb Khan (Retd), Member Dr Amjad Ullah, Chief Executive Pesco Syed Hassan Fazil, General Manager Finance Anwar Ul Haq Yousafzai, Chief Engineer Operation Muhammad Iqbal Marwat, Chief Commercial Officer Dr Amjad Khan, Director General Public Relations Shaukat Afzal, Director General HR Muhammad Iqbal Haider, Director General Admin & Services Khurshid Ahmad Orakzai, Pesco high officials and field officers, USAID representatives Amir Zia, Fazle Khaliq Khan, Khurram, former General Manager Wapda Hazrat Amin participated in the seminar and discussed different matters focusing on how to change Pesco into a profit earning entity. The main aim of the seminar was to put the Pesco on the path of success and profitability and to suggest new ideas and proposals in this regard.
The speakers proposed several suggestions for the improvement of Pesco and its employees. The seminar is a step towards helping Pesco to grow as a profit earning power distribution company in the region. Chairman BoD Pesco Malik Muhammad Asad Khan said that they have to improve Pesco's performance and to develop it as a consumer-friendly company and they have to turn it into a profitable entity. He said that they have to reduce its line losses and improve the recovery.
