25 Sep, 2015

Chief of the Army Staff (CoAS) General Raheel Sharif said on Thursday that India's continuous cease-fire violations on Line of Control (LoC) and Working Boundary were an unsuccessful attempt to distract Pakistan from fight against terrorism. "Pakistan Army is a battle hardened army which has successfully handled two different kinds of war and is capable of defending every inch of the motherland," he said during his visit to forward locations on LoC where he met with soldiers deployed on the front lines.
Wishing Eid Mubarak in advance to officers and troops, the CoAS appreciated their high state of morale, professionalism and valance while defending motherland and giving a befitting response to unprovoked Indian firing. Expressing solidarity with the civilians living along the LoC, General Raheel paid rich tributes to their resilience and sacrifices while braving the Indian aggression. He reiterated that the Pakistan Army would provide all necessary assistance to all civilians affected by unprovoked Indian firing along the LoC.
