Eid-ul-Azha is being celebrated with traditional religious fervour and enthusiasm by Muslims here on Friday to commemorate the supreme sacrifice of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS). The day will dawn with special prayers in mosques for the peace, progress and well-being of the Ummah and Pakistan. Huge Eid congregations will be held at mosques, Eidgahs, and open places in all cities, towns and villages across the country. In Islamabad, the main Eid congregation will be held at Faisal Mosque, whereas the largest Eid congregation in Lahore will be held at Badshahi Masjid.
After offering Eid prayers, the faithful will slaughter sacrificial animals. The exercise of sacrificing the sacrificial animals will continue till Sunday, the third day of Eid.
