Poor must not be forgotten, governor asks people

Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan has urged the nation not to forget the poor, needy and the homeless brethren while celebrating Eid-ul-Azha. The Governor, in his Eid message on Thursday, underlined the need for upholding the spirit of the supreme sacrifice of Hazrat Ibrahim (A.S) and unprecedented submission of Hazrat Ismail (A.S) as this would put the society on the path to success in this world and the world-after.
"Following the foot-prints of Hazrat Ismail (A.S), we can purge the society of all evils and challenges," he said.
"Allah Almighty has declared us as the best Ummah as a result of the great sacrifice by Hazrat Ibrahim (A.S) who did not hesitate to slaughter his beloved son Hazrat Ismail (A.S) to win the blessings of his Creator, which was followed by unmatched submission of his son who became ready to be slaughtered with no second thought.
"The Almighty acknowledged Hazrat Ismail's (A.S) spirit accepted his pray and sent the last Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) from Bani Ismail (A.S) as 'Rahmat-u-lil Aalmeen'."
