Sri Lanka's trade deficit in July narrowed 32.3 percent to $601.8 million from $888.7 million a year earlier, central bank data showed on Tuesday. Exports for the month were $932.1 million, down 2.6 percent from a year earlier. Imports fell 16.9 percent to $1.53 billion. The trade deficit for the first seven months of 2015 widened 6.0 percent to $4.69 billion. Sri Lanka's balance of payments recorded a $1.2 billion deficit during the first seven months of this year, compared with a $2.02 billion surplus in the same period last year.
