A fire broke out in a dyeing factory of Baldia Town's Rasheedabad on Sunday morning. However, no loss of life was reported. Sources in the fire brigade said that a portion of the factory's building was damaged in the fire. Since it was Sunday, only few employees were present inside the factory and all of them were rescued safely, they added.
Initially three fire tenders were rushed to the scene of fire, but when it could not be controlled, five more fire tenders were sent to extinguish it, the sources said, adding, the fire-fighters managed to extinguish the fire in a couple of hours.
However, the cause of fire and property losses could not be known immediately.
Earlier, two employees of a leather godown, located in Korangi 100 Quarters area, had received injuries during a fire that broke out there on September 30.
