Akshay Kumar becomes traffic cop to promote road safety

Akshay Kumar turned into a reel life traffic cop to promote road safety. In a series of ads, Akshay tried to bring about a behavioural change in people with regard to traffic and road safety.

In the videos, Akshay is telling the traffic violators, "Ye Sadak Kisi Ke Baap Ki Nahi Hai’ [Road is not their father’s property]. Bollywood actor launched a special road safety awareness campaign for the Indian Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.

As part of the campaign, the Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari initially released three videos starring the ‘Gold’ actor, where he highlights the importance of not breaking traffic rules. Akshay too shared the social awareness ads on his social media accounts.

According to Indian media reports, Akshay said he immediately joined the road safety campaign when he got to know the shocking facts and figures related to road accidents that can be prevented.

Currently, the actor is promoting his upcoming movie ‘Gold’, which has just hit theatres today.
