Chief Secretary Punjab Khizar Hayat Gondal has said that the Punjab government will provide all kind of support and co-operation for SOS Children Villages Pakistan. He was addressing a ceremony held in connection with inauguration of Library and Community Centre (LCC) at SOS Children's Village Lahore.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony, the Chief Secretary said that the organisation is doing great service by looking after orphan and deserving children. He said that in SOS villages children are placed in an environment which is as close as possible to a natural home. This allows them to live normal lives and a sense of confidence is instilled in them that develops their full potential, he added.
Earlier, the Chief Secretary cut a ribbon to inaugurate Library and Community Centre. He also visited different sections of the SOS Village and interacted with the children living there. After visiting the facility, he was very appreciative of this initiative. The Chief Secretary also distributed certificates among donors. Children of SOS Village presented heart warming performances during the ceremony.
