Dukhtaran-e-Millat President Syedah Aasiyeh Andrabi on Saturday said that Pakistan was created on the bases of religion and is seen as a fort of Islam in the subcontinent therefore Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif should represent himself in that capacity, while meeting US President Obama next week. She added that Nawaz Sharif should raise the Indian atrocities on Muslims besides the Kashmir issue. She has stressed upon the Pakistan PM to raise the issue of Afiya Siddiqui and demand her shifting to Pakistan in case America was still not ready to release her.
In a statement Syedah Aasiyeh Andrabi said "Mian Sahab is scheduled to meet US president next week and we want to remind him that, being the leader of such a special Muslim country that is seen as a fort of Islam in subcontinent and, he is duty bound to discuss overall problems of the Muslims of the region with Obama."
She added that Indian Muslims were going through a difficult phase and there is nobody to speak for them. She said that whole world is silently witnessing the brutal murders of Indian Muslims being carried by Hindutva forces on one or the other pretext. She further said that "it is the bounden duty of Pakistan premier to raise the issue and discuss it threadbare with Obama to stop India from what it was doing with its Muslim population".
Aasiyeh Andrabi said that while discussing Kashmir issue, Nawaz Sharif should make Obama realise that this issue was not any ordinary bilateral issue between India and Pakistan. She said "Let Mian Sahab make Obama realise that he was doing injustice by supporting India's unjustified stand that Kashmir was a bilateral issue and not an international one". Syedah Aasiyeh Andrabi added that Pakistan prime Minister should give a reference of a J&K high court's recent observation that Jammu Kashmir has never merged with India and is not like other Indian states.
