Fake degrees, violation of rules: huge losses inflicted on PIA: AGP

Auditor General of Pakistan has unearthed billions of rupees financial loss to Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) through appointments of fake degree holders and in violation of PIAC rules. According to the Auditor General's report of financial year 2014-15, the following appointments were made on fake degrees:
S. Mehr Nigar was appointed Airhostess on fake degree of BA which caused a financial loss of Rs 4.75 million to the national exchequer; Rahila Tariq, Engineering Supervisor, fake degree of B. Com, Rs 5.50 million loss; Eric Johnson, physiotherapist, fake degree of Matriculation, Rs 14.552m loss; Salahuddin Khan, Training Support Assistant, fake degree of B. Com, Rs 3.51m loss; S. Irfan Shah, Scheduling Assistant, fake degree of B Com, Rs 3.503m loss; Ajmal Saeed, Store Assistant, fake degree of BA, Rs 5.97m loss; Arif Mufti, Telephone Operator, fake degree of B. Com, Rs 3.390m loss; Abdul Karim, Store & Purchase Assistant, fake degree of B. Com, Rs 4.52m loss; Waqas Anwar, Cadet Pilot, fake certificate of Inter, Rs 1.00m loss; M. Kamran Khan Zai, Pax Service Assistant, produced no certificate/degree for verification, Rs 3.48m loss; M. Farid, Flight Steward, fake certificate of Inter, Rs 37.5m loss; Shahid Ahmed Wahidy, Senior Flight Steward, fake certificate of Inter, Rs 19.872m loss; Azra Perveen Butt, Airhostess, fake certificate of Inter, Rs 11.6m loss; Zahid Hanif Butt, Cadet Pilot, fake certificate of Inter, Rs 3.16m loss; Muhammad Jahanzeb, Cadet Pilot, fake certificate of Inter, Rs 20.16m loss; Asmat Mahmood, Cadet Pilot, fake certificate of Matriculation, Rs 51.84m loss; and Salman Saeed, Food Service Officer, fake certificates of Matriculation/Inter, Rs 3.00m loss.
The detail of officers who were appointed without observing PIACs' rules that inflicted a huge loss to national exchequer is as follows:
Pervaiz Naseer, Passenger Service Officer, Rs 465,513 million loss; Muhammad Raza, Reservation & Ticketing Officer, Rs 554,063m loss; Aftab Ahmed, Store & Purchase Officer, Rs 767,700m loss; and Amna Ali Khan, Admin Officer, Rs 730,464m loss. The names of Umar Razzaq, Store Officer, Nasir Jamal Malik, Rana Shahid Ahmad Noon, Muhammad Faisal Mahboob and Irfan Illahi are mentioned in the audit report without details of financial loss to the national exchequer.
