The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has so far ferried 44,036 Hajjis back to the country onboard 162 flights, a spokesman for the national carrier said on Sunday. He said that two more flights of the Hajj operation - PK 7256 and PK 7258 - Sunday left Madina for Peshawar and Quetta. They took off 21 and 15 minutes ahead of the scheduled time.
The spokesman was of the view that the management of the airline was according full attention towards the efficient completion of the Hajj operation. As many as 96 percent of the flights operated on time, the PIA spokesman added.
He said PIA's Hajj operation which will conclude on October 28 will bring back a total of 55,701 pilgrims.
