Security forces on Friday foiled an attempt of terrorism by arresting a suicide bomber alive before he could blew himself up near a mourning procession in Khurram Agency bordering Afghanistan. According to sources, security forces captured a suspect who was trying to come closer to a mourning procession taken out in an area in the tribal agency. The sources further said terrorists were planning attack on Muharram-ul-Haram Majalis.
"The procession was his actual target, but he was captured and could not discharge his suicide jacket," said an official. Security forces are conducting raids in Khurram Agency to arrest other accomplices of the suicide bomber. Security arrangements have also been increased for Muharram-ul-Haram in Khurram Agency. The incident came when mourning processions in connection with 9th Muharram are being taken out across the country, a day after a suicide attack left 11 people dead in Bolan town of Balochistan.
