Frontier Corps (FC) personnel and officials of intelligence agencies on Sunday conducted a joint raid in Washuk district of Balochistan and killed as many as two alleged terrorists and arrested four others. FC spokesman told the media that the operation was launched on a tip off about the presence of criminal elements. The alleged terrorists opened fire at security officers, who responded the fire wherein two militants were killed.
The spokesman revealed that the miscreants were involved in heinous crimes and other acts of terrorism. Huge cache of weapons were stated to be recovered from the possession of accused.
The bodies were shifted to a local hospital for medico-legal formalities while the arrested suspects were shifted to an undisclosed location for further interrogation.
Earlier, FC raided Pak-Afghan border area in Chaghi and recovered weapons hidden underground. The seized weapons included 10 sub-machine guns (SMGs), 13 rocket-propelled grenade, 7rockets and 40 boxes of 12.7mm ammunition.
