Secretary General Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Liaqat Baloch has said that rulers are considering visit to United States as permit to paradise, saying not demanding the release of Afia Siddiqui by the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has dejected the nation.
Addressing a two-day Tahafuz-e-Deeni Madaris, Siyasat Convention in Shergarh, district Mardan, he said that rulers had made United States a holy place while United States and Europe through their media are taking Muslims away from their religion.
Provincial ameer, JI, KP Mushtaq Ahmad Khan, naib ameer, Maulana Saadullah, deputy general secretary Abdul Wasi and Maulana Abdul Bari also addressed the convention.
Liaqat Baloch said that Mian Nawaz Sharif should have also demanded the release of Afia Siddiqui from President Obama. He was of the view that the visit of the Prime Minister has dejected the nation.
He said that the country is rich of natural resources having fertile land and hardworking peasants. He said that peasants and Haris are making efforts, but never get its fruit, saying capitalists, feudal lords and few influential have deprived peasants, labourers and Haris of their rights.
The JI stalwart said that interest (Riba) is war against Allah and Holy Prophet (PBUH), saying that courts can give verdict in favour of Urdu then it did not decide the abolition of interest-based system. He was of the view that only Islamic economic system can rid the nation of the debts of IMF and World Bank. He said that when the economy will be made according to Islamic teachings, then a new era of progress and development will usher in the country.
He said that India is the enemy No.1 of Pakistan and is hatching conspiracy to weaken it in all grounds. He said that Indian agents are involved in terrorist activities in Pakistan and her Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the biggest enemy of Pakistan and Muslims. He said that Modi himself has confessed the breaking of Pakistan and the black face of the champion of secularism has been witnessed by the world. He said that they condemned the killing of Muslims for the slaughtering of cow.
He said that religious seminaries are the fortresses of Islam and the enemy is out to weaken them and stressed need for unity of religious clerics and all sects of society to foil the conspiracies of enemies.
