Breaches of Working boundary by India: PPP submits adjournment motion in National Assembly

27 Oct, 2015

Pakistan Peoples' Party (PPP) on Monday submitted an adjournment motion in the National Assembly to discuss a serious matter of continuous breach of Pak-India Working Boundary in Shakargarh sector by Indian security forces. The adjournment motion was submitted by PPP MNAs - Shazia Mari, Ayaz Soomro, Beelum Husnain, Ghulam Mustafa Shah and Aijaz Jakhrani.
"We the undersigned request that the proceedings of the House be adjourned to discuss the urgent and serious matter of continuous breach of Pak-India Working Boundary in Shakargarh sector by Indian security forces," it added. The cross border shelling and firing from Indian forces resulted in more than two casualties as well as injuries of many Pakistanis over a period of few days, it added.
The adjournment motion further said that the cowardly act and continuous offensive attitude of Indian security forces was escalating the tensions between the two neighbouring countries as well as a complete disregard towards the ongoing efforts of Pakistan to bring a peaceful solution to regional problems, adding India should refrain itself from testing Pakistan's patience and not take Pakistan's desire for peace as weakness.
