Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HCCI) and Sindh Industrial Trading Estate (SITE) Kotri and Hyderabad have demanded an immediate shifting of stone crushing plants from SITE areas of Hyderabad, Kotri and Nooriabad to distant locations. A statement issued by representatives of the HCCI and SITE, here on Monday said that the stone crushing plants set up in SITE areas are polluting the whole industrial areas and causing serious production and health problems. "The plants should be shifted to some other areas and they should be at least 10km away from SITE areas," it demanded.
The situation goes worse whenever strong wind blows creating health hazards for workers who are working there, the statement said. It demanded an immediate shifting of these plants to locations 10km away from SITE areas to ensure healthy and friendly atmosphere.
