SU awards MS, MPhil & PhD degrees to 45 scholars

Board of Advanced studies and research, University of Sindh, has approved to award MS, MPhil and PhD degrees to 45 scholars in various disciplines. It was decided in a meeting of the board presided over by Professor Dr Abida Taherani, Vice Chancellor, University of Sindh. The meeting was attended by Pro Vice Chancellors of various campuses, Deans of Faculties and other members of board.
According to details, 12 scholars - Kamleshwer Lohana in Development Studies, Kalsoom Shaikh in Zoology, Sabir Ali Channa and Asif Raza Soomro in Zoology, Muhammad Ali Mallah, Naeemullah, Fozia Tabssum Minhas, Asif Ali Bhatti, Abdul Sattar Soomro in Analytical Chemistry, Ghulam Sughra in Biotechnology, Dost Muhammad Kalhoro in Biochemistry, Altaf Hussain and Nazir Ahmed Sindhi and Ghulam Hussain Mahesar in Political Science - were awarded PhD degrees.
While, 27 candidates - Abdul Khaliq, Salahudin in Islamic Culture, Rao Mehboob Tahir in International Relations, Khalid Arain in Zoology, Namat Hussain Bhellar in Botany, Muhammad Waris Arain, Romia Memon, Saba Arain, Shahnawz Baloch, Shazia Burgari, Tariq Panhwar, Zahid Hussain Laghari, Pars Azadi Memon and Abdul Satar Chang in Analytical Chemistry, Gulshan Rahoojo, Kamran Ali Khoso in Fresh water biology and fisheries, Kashif Memon, Wajid Ali Shaikh, Huzoor Bux Lanjwani and Javed Ahmed in Mathematics, Hakum Ali Detho and Barkat Ali Solangi in Microbiology, Naimat Hussain Bhellar in Botany, Noor Ahmed Khan in Area Studies (International Relations)& Raj Kumar Oad in Pharmacy - were awarded M Phil degrees. However, Nabeela Rasheed Arain, Maryam Kalhoro, Qurat-ul-Ain Abro and Sehar Abbas were awarded MS Commerce degrees.
