Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has felicitated Turk President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the Turk people on national day of Turkey. In a message of felicitation, the Chief Minister said "Turkey has made rapid progress during the last few years and due to stability of economic system and continuity of policies, Turkey has become a prosperous and developed country."
He said Turkey had made extraordinary progress under the dynamic leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan which was a role model for the developing countries. He said that people of Pakistan were proud of unprecedented development of brotherly country Turkey and appreciated sagacious leadership of Turkey over its growing influence in the world community.
He further said Pakistan and Turkey were bound together in strong, cultural and historic ties and the people of two countries had stood by each other in the moments of successes as well as trials. He said Turkey had helped Pakistan in the hour of needs including earthquake, floods or any other natural calamity. The Chief Minister further said the longstanding friendship and social relations between Turkey and Pakistan were reflected in every sector of life in two countries.
He said social and economic help and co-operation extended by Turkey on humanitarian basis was a proof of strong ties between Pakistan and Turkey. He said state-of-the-art Recep Tayyip Erdogan Hospital in Muzaffargarh was a splendid gift for Pakistan and an example of Pak-Turk friendship.
He said Turkey was a reliable and true friend of Pakistan and there were deep-rooted historic relations between the two countries. The CM said Turkey and Pakistan had a uniform approach with regard to peace and stability in the region. He said a number of Turk companies were making investment in various sectors in Pakistan especially Punjab. He said credit went to Pakistan Muslim League-N government for giving the form of economic co-operation to the longstanding sentiments of friendship and brotherhood between the people of the two countries.
