PPDWP approves seven uplift schemes

The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party (PPDWP) approved seven development schemes of various sectors with an estimated cost of Rs 6112.263 million including comprehensive TB Control Programme in Punjab (2015-16 to 2017-18) at the cost of Rs 1398.933 million. These schemes were approved in the 14th meeting of PDWP of current fiscal year 2015-16 presided over by Punjab Chairman P&D Board Irfan Elahi.
Provincial Secretary P&D Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, members P&D Provincial Secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also attended the meeting. According to P&D spokesman, the approved development schemes included.
1. Augmentation / improvement of disposal stations Multan Phase-I at the cost of Rs 620.05 million; 2. Establishment of Nawaz Sharif University of Agriculture, Multan (Phase-II) at the cost of Rs 1363.167 million; 3. Construction of offices of Dolphin Squad, Sadar, Model Town & Cantt Division and Centralised Hqrs (revised) at the cost of Rs 403.592 million; 4. Construction of high security prison in Northern Punjab (one at Mianwali) at the cost of Rs 1193.492 million; 5. Construction of Academic Block of Nawaz Sharif Medical College, Gujrat at the cost of Rs 693.176; 6. Establishment of Nursing College with Hostel and Paramedical School with the hostel at Government Teaching Hospital Shahdara, Lahore at the cost of Rs 229.407 million and; 7. Comprehensive TB Control Programme in Punjab (2015-16 to 2017-18) at the cost of Rs 1398.933 million.
