Admission test of Visual Studies at KU held

The test for admission to the Department of Visual Studies, University of Karachi was held on Sunday. An official of the University said that 984 forms were submitted for 105 seats and 937 students participated in the admission test.
University's Acting Director Admissions, Professor Dr Shakeel Ahmed Khan, Professor Durriya Kazi, Campus Security Advisor Professor Dr Zubair, Syed Shamoon Haider and Tania Nasir monitored the admission test proceedings.
According to the Acting Director Admissions on the special instructions of the Vice Chancellor strict security arrangements were made and unauthorised individuals were not allowed near the examination center. Admission test was conducted in a very peaceful and disciplined manner. To deal with any emergency situation medical officer along with medical facilities and ambulance were also present. Rangers and security staff were deployed on the entry gates and the faculty.
According to the decision of the Academic Council, final merit list will be made with the weightage of 40 percent of Academic Percentage while 60 percent of the Admission test and there will be no interviews. The results of the test will be uploaded on the official website of KU on 11th November 2015.
