Modest trading activity was seen on the local grain market on Wednesday as leading participants were reluctant in making new purchasing owing to high rates, dealer said. On the cereals side, Masoor Canada after maintaining a stable trend for a long-time shed Rs 100 to Rs 9300-9400, they said.
On the grams side, grams Australia No 2 gained Rs 300 to Rs 10800, Gram 50x50 also picked up Rs 500 to Rs 9875, they said. On the seeds side, cottonseeds oilcake with bag Sindh new inferior type dropped by Rs 50 to Rs 1950 while the best quality was higher by Rs 25 to Rs 2050, they said. Prices were unchanged on the rice sector, they said.
