Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) would meet Monday to review the complaint filed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf over Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's visit to Lodhran ahead of by-election. PTI had termed the PM's visit to Lodhran as "pre-poll rigging" ahead of election in NA-154 scheduled to be held on December 23, and demanded the ECP to take notice of the visit. During the visit, the Prime Minister announced Rs 2.5 bn package for development projects in the area.
The CEC Sardar Raza Khan would table the complaint in the meeting, where the commission members would decide whether the PM visited Lodhran after the announcement of election schedule or it was a planned visit.
