China shows interest in upgrading agriculture sector

Peoples Republic of China has showed deep interest in upgrading agriculture industrial sector, developing most mechanism of modern agriculture machinery and seed industries in collaboration with Chinese experts boosting up and strengthening the agriculture sector across the country particularly in agriculture producing areas, agriculture officials said on Saturday.
The five members' Chinese delegation led by province Jilin's Vice Director General Agriculture Commission Wang Xiang visited a few days back. The delegation was comprised of Jilin Agriculture Commissions' Baoshan Howa Division head foreign economic division Xiang Xee, Jilin People's government foreign office interpreter Wang Lin, Jilin Ping Aan Seed Company Limited Chief Executive Officer Yang Ti Ching Jilin Kongda Agriculture Machinery Company Ltd general manager.
Agriculture officials said the delegation met with Punjab Director General Agriculture (Field) Dr Qurban Ali Sindhu and held meeting with the representatives of agriculture machinery manufacturing companies. The Chinese delegation was briefed on agriculture machinery manufacturing in Pakistan.
The Chinese delegation also visited Faislabad Chak 34/GB Naseer agriculture farm and reviewed agriculture cropping and assessed the demonstration of agriculture machinery. The Chinese delegation also visited agriculture machinery manufacturing units.
Talking to this scribe Punjab Agriculture Information assistant Director Naveed Asmat Kahloon said that China has showed interest in developing seed processing and upgrading the agriculture machinery infrastructure.
He said the Chinese expertise would bring revolution in Punjab agriculture and increasing the per acre yield.
