Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman said on Sunday that Pakistan, in spite of meagre resources was successfully fighting against terrorism. After the successful conduct of the anti terrorist operations, Pakistan was being viewed as a role model in the fight against terror, he added.
These operations had also resulted in the betterment of law and order situation in the country, he made these remarks while talking to the media persons during his visit to Pakistan Pavilion set up at the Dubai Air Show-2015.
The Air Chief attended the inaugural ceremony of the Air Show. A large number of delegations from different countries including Air Chiefs of a number of Air Forces were also present at the occasion. The Dubai Air Show was inaugurated by Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai and Prime Minister of UAE.
According to PAF Spokesman here, Super Mushshak aircraft of Pakistan Air Force has been put up for static as well as aerial display in the Air Show.
Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Federal Minister for Defence and Rana Tanveer Hussain, Federal Minister for Defence Production were also present at the occasion.
They also visited the Pakistan Pavilion, being set up by Pakistan Aeronautical Complex, Kamra.
The Air Chief said that the participation of Pakistan Air Force in this Air Show is a matter of great pride for us and many countries in general and Islamic countries in particular have shown interest in the JF-17 Thunder aircraft.
The Air Chief also called on Air Vice Marshal, Ibrahim Nasser Mohammad Al Alawi, Commander UAE Air Force and Air Defence and discussed matters of professional interest.
Later, he also visited various stalls at the show and met with high ranking officials of the air forces of various countries.
