Talk of liberal Pakistan violates constitution: Siraj

13 Nov, 2015

JI Pakistan Ameer Senator Sirajul Haq has said that the talk of a liberal Pakistan was in conflict with the country's constitution. He stated this while addressing a reference in memory of a renowned religious scholar Maulana Dr Sher Ali Shah at Akora Khattak on Thursday. He said that the religious forces in the country would foil all conspiracies against the Islamic ideology.
Haq said that the constitution has solutions to all problems of the country and the nation. This constitution had the signatures of dignitaries like Maulana Abdul Haq, Maulana Mufti Mehmud, Professor Ghafoor Ahmed, Khan Abdul Wali Khn and ZA Bhutto, and could help resolve all our issues. But unfortunately, he said, this constitution had not been enforced even for a single day.
He said that the Ulema, religious scholars and political leadership should unite for establishing the supremacy of the constitution, rule of law and to transform the country into truly Islamic state. He said that the people of the tribal areas had offered huge sacrifices for this country and had proved their loyalty to the state in spite of hard times and JI highly valued their role in this respect.
