Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif that people of Thar are still waiting for fulfilment of his promises regarding relief funds announced by him during his visit to drought-hit Thar, adding that the person whom he has nominated for providing relief is not a friend but foe of Thar people. He further said that the PPP is a party of the poor and people of Thar will again vote for the PPP in local government elections.
Bilawal maintained that the PPP is the chain of all provinces of the country and every Jiyala is a soldier of the party, adding that Sindh government is striving hard for the welfare of the people. He made these comments while addressing a Diwali ceremony, which was organised by MPA Dr Mahesh Kumar Malani at Sports Complex, Mithi. Bilawal said that unlike Modi's government in India where minorities are being treated like step children, minorities' rights are fully protected under Pakistan Constitution and the PPP has proved this today here at Mithi by celebrating Diwali with our Hindu community.
He said that there is no difference between majority and minority as all are Pakistani and enjoying equal rights. Bilawal asserted that the PPP represents poor people of the country and always raises voice for the rights of the people and that is why all our opponents have got united to compete with the PPP in local government elections. He said that the PPP would sweep out the elements, who were brought up in the laps of dictators from Sindh as the youth of the Sindh will vote to the PPP in the local government elections and Diwali would be celebrated again after getting success in local government elections, he said. He said that the PPP government has given big development package for the welfare of the people of Thar.
Earlier, Senior Sindh Minister Nisar Ahmed Khuhro addressing the ceremony said that the PPP has introduced new faces of the country to the world. He said that the PPP is not a production of dictatorship but a pure democratic party. He congratulated Hindu community on Diwali. MPA and President PPP District Tharparkar Dr Makhesh Kumar Malani, MNA Faqir Sher Muhammad Balalani and MPA Dr Khatumal Jeevan also addressed on the occasion. Earlier, people of Hindu community soon after the arrival of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari took his Arti while tableaux were presented and Diwali cake was also cut.
Sindh Ministers Giyan Chand Israni, Dost Muhammad Rahimoon, Mukesh Kumar Chawla, Syed Ali Mardan Shah, MNAs Sher Muhammad Balalani, Syed Noor Muhammad Shah Jilani, Senator Hariram Kishori Lal, Engineer Gianchand, and thousands of people belonging to Hindu and Muslim communities, PPP leaders and workers attended the ceremony.
