Qaim said that necessary security arrangements had been made in 15 districts for the next phase of LB election. "Only two districts, Sanghar and Badin, have been declared most sensitive, while in the remaining 13 districts, some union councils have been declared sensitive," he added.
He said that necessary measures had been taken to provide fool-proof security in the districts. However, he added that "we have no objection if army is deployed to aid the civil administration." Replying to a question, the chief minister said that he had informed Pir Pagara about the action against the culprits of Daraza Sharif incident and also discussed with him the security measures to hold peaceful LB elections. "I am sure he (Pagara) is satisfied," Qaim added.
The CM said that his government had already requested the Chief Justice of Sindh High Court to appoint a judge to conduct judicial inquiry into the tragic incident of Daraza Sharif. About the Korangi Crossing flyover, he said that it was 408 meters in length and being built for Rs 750 million. The project, he added would be completed in 12 months.
