Academic linkages to yield fruits of knowledge: Turkish envoy

"Pak-Turkish Academic linkages will yield fruits of knowledge," Turkish Ambassador in Pakistan Sadik Babur Girgin stated this while speaking at an interactive session with senior faculty members and students from Degree programmes of Institute of Management Sciences (IM-Sciences). Honorary Consul-General of Turkey in Peshawar Saleem Saifullah Khan, Director IM-Sciences Dr Muhammad Mohsin Khan also spoke on the occasion.
Turkish Ambassador highlighted the importance of Pakistan and Turkey's close collaborations in educational and high academic fields as that would further strengthen the relationship of both countries at grassroots level. The Ambassador offered all possible support to IM-Sciences from Turkish Embassy in Pakistan to enhance their liaison with their counterparts in Turkey. He also appreciated the initiatives already taken by the IM-Sciences in that regards and lauded the role of visionary leadership of IM-Sciences.
Ambassador Babur Girgin mentioned that for sustainable balanced economic growth strong Academic background was like life blood. "This is high time to both countries should take maximum benefit to modern knowledge for their coming generations in the best interest of both nations," he added. Honorary Consul-General of Turkey for Khyber Pakhunkhwa based in Peshawar Saleem Saifullah Khan reiterated the significance of mutual relationship of the two brotherly countries. He also emphasised on the promotion of socio-economic, educational and cultural interactions in the best interest of Turkey and Pakistan.
Earlier, while welcoming the distinguished guest the Turkish Ambassador, IM-Sciences Director Dr Muhammad Mohsin Khan informed about the recent activities and achievements of IM-Sciences in the field of academic linkages and degree programmes and students activities. Dr Mohsin Khan said IM-Sciences since its inception in 1995 achieved many goals in various fields of socio-economic and educational development. He also shared his views on student exchange programme, promotion of Turkish languages through Language Centre at the Institute, adding that initiative would also help in establishing joint business facilitations centres in both Pakistan and Turkey.-PR
