Nisar Muhammad on Tuesday assumed the charge of new Chairman Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and relinquished his previous charge of the post of FBR Member Customs. According to the notification issued here on Tuesday, Tariq Bajwa, a BS-22 official, has relinquished the charge of the post of Secretary Revenue Division and the Chairman FBR. Nasir Masroor Ahmed has relinquished the charge of the post of Director General Reforms and Automation Customs and assumed the charge of FBR Member Customs.
Muhammad Ashraf Khan has relinquished the charge of the post of Member (IR Operations). The profile of the new Chairman FBR revealed that Nisar Muhammad has worked at wide range of senior positions at the FBR and the field formations.
