The Round B of the second Annual Fame Football League-2015 begins today (Friday) at the Fame Sports Football Ground in Model Town in Lahore. The Fame Sports Football Academy and Club has organised the event. During Round B, 44 matches between qualifiers from Round A will play before January 24 at three venues of Lahore. The venues selected by organisers and approved by the Fame Sports Football Academy and Club - are the Fame Sports Football Ground, R. A. Bazar Football Ground and Campus United Park Football Ground New Campus.
Earlier in October, Round A ended with 28 teams from Lahore taking part in it. Last year's top teams were the Real Lahore Club, Fame Sports FC, Bata FC, Nadeem FC, Sabzazar FC, Ali Asghar FC, Gharh Shahu FC, Walton FC, Afshan FC, and Universal Baba FC. And those taking part in Round B (Group A) are Jabbar Friend FC, Quaid Manga FC, Sabzazar FC, Baba Cargo FC, Young Union FC, Group B Fame Sports FC, Gulshan-e-Ravi FC, Walton FC, Ali Asghar FC, Lahore United FC, Group C Bata FC, Usmania FC, Lums FC, Publican FC, Group D Real Lahore FC, Rehmania FC, Faridia FC, Murad FC, group E Garhi Shahu United FC, Saleem Khan FC, Campus FC, Fame Academy FC and Group F Nadeem FC, Afshan FC, Burt FC, Flying Horse FC.
The winner will receive a cash prize of Rs 70,000 with a trophy and 10 footballs and the runners-up Rs 40,000 plus the same trophy and number of balls. Teams securing the third to 10th positions will get 10 balls each. The best player, scorer, goalkeeper and defender each will receive Rs 3,000. The selection committee is made up of the match commissioner and team coaches. President of the Fame Sports Football Club Zia Dogar said on Thursday, "The objective of this tournament is to prepare a breed of good regional and national football players, so that they can represent Pakistan in international events."
