Pak Muslim Alliance (PMA) staged a rally on Sunday to protest the hangings of pro-Pakistan politicians in Bangladesh. The protestors marched from Regal Chowk to Karachi Press Club (KPC) to register their protest against the executions of Salah Uddin Qadir and Ali Hasan Mujahid in Bangladesh.
The 'protection of two-nation theory rally' was led by SM Farooq, President, PMA; Khurram Shehzad, general secretary; Khawaja Salman and other leaders. A large number of activists who came from different areas of the city joined the protest at KPC.
The protestors displaying placards and banners chanted slogans against Sheikh Hasina government.
The speakers accused Hasina of violating the norms of justice and freedom through her personal vendetta against pro-Pakistan personalities and parties in Bangladesh. They termed the executions of Salah Uddin Qadir and Ali Hassan a shameful act.
The speakers also criticised the government of Pakistan for what they said its silence on the issue. They demanded that Pakistan should raise the issue in the United Nations and also severe diplomatic relations with Bangladesh.
The PMA leaders appealed to the President, the Prime Minister, the UN Secretary General and world community to stop Hasina from further atrocities and human rights violations in Bangladesh.
