NUML organises annual book fair

National University of Modern Languages (NUML) arranged 2-day annual Book Fair 2014 to revive the tradition of book reading among the young, particularly students. The annual book fair was arranged by the NUML Office of Research, Innovations and Commercialisation (NORIC) in which a total of sixteen book publishers showcased a wide variety of books on the topics including literature, linguistics, management sciences, engineering, information technology, international relations, mass communication, Islamic studies, history, economics, corporate social responsibility, Pak-China Relations and translation and interpretation.
The Chief Guest Executive Director Higher Education Commission Dr G. Raza Bhatti along with Rector NUML Major General Zia ud Din Najam (Retd) inaugurated the book fair. While Director General NUML Brigadier Azam Jamal (Retd), Registrar, Directors and other staff members were also attended the inaugural ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion ED HEC Raza Bhatti said there was no greater pleasure than reading books in one's leisure time. The current boost in technology has made it easier for students to get access to the e-books of their interest but the pleasure and the contentment connected with the hard copy of a book was inexplicable. A large number of students visited book fair on the first day and showed their interest in different books.-PR
