The sports week of the School of Physiotherapy King Edward Medical University ended on Tuesday with a prize distribution ceremony which also saw the presence of the advisor on health doling out trophies, shields and souvenirs to students. In his speech, Advisor Khawaja Salman Rafique said the importance and need of physiotherapy in human health was increasing and a modern medical research had proved that the treatment of diseases was possible through physiotherapy without operation. He also talked about the Punjab government planning to set up rehabilitation centres, with one at Muzaffargarh already starting to work.
And when Principal Saleh Saleem Bukhari detailed her audience about the school teaching programme and the problems, including hostel and paid house job, Advisor Rafiq told her that he would look into it. Those also present were Allied Health Sciences Dean Doctor Asghar Naqi and the faculty.
