The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has finalised necessary arrangements for setting up polling stations and polling booths for upcoming local bodies elections in third phase in Sialkot district. Official sources told Business Recorder on Wednesday that there are total registered voters are 2011912 out of which 846561 are female voters in Sialkot district.
Under the arrangements as many as 1520 polling stations and 4330 polling booths would be established for holding Zila Council, Municipal Corporation and three municipal committees (Daska, Pasrur and Sambrial municipal committees) elections of the district. As many as 1155 polling stations and polling booths 3247 would be set up of which 1412 female polling booths for Zila Council elections of Sialkot district. A total number of registered voters are 1499701 out which 620461 female voters will use their right of vote in Zila Council elections of the district.
Similarly, as many as 243 polling stations and 723 polling booths out of which 318 female booths would be established for Municipal Corporation elections.
There total registered voters are 340514 of which 150928 are female voters and use their right of vote in Sialkot Municipal Corporation.
