The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Thursday apprised the Supreme Court that delimitations of 81 local councils in 8 districts of Sindh province would be completed by December 05 after which local bodies elections' schedule would be notified. Appearing before a two-member bench led by Justice Dost Muhamamd in a case relating to delimitations in 8 districts of Sindh, the ECP counsel Munir Piracha submitted that in pursuance of the Sindh High Court's directives the Commission has initiated delimitations in 81 local councils.
During the course of proceedings, advocate Wasim Sajjad said his two clients are interested to become a party to the current matter; to which the bench allowed them to submit contentions. The hearing of case was adjourned for an indefinite period.
