Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah on Thursday handed over documents of the relief goods announced by the Sindh government to KP Chief Minister Pervez Khattak. The PPP stalwart along with a delegation of the party leaders called on the KP Chief Minister and hander over the documents.
The delegation comprised of PPP provincial president Senator Khanzada Khan, provincial general secretary Engr Hamyun Khan, MNA from Sindh Dr Nafeesa Shah, Senator Robina Khalid, PPP MPAs Nighat Orakzai, Mohammad Ali Bacha, Salim Khan and Sahibzada Sanaullah, PPP leaders Syed Zahir Shah, Najamud din Khan, Faisal Karim Kundi, Akhunzada Chatan, Alamzeb Utmani, Engr Tariq Khattak, Zahir Shah Toroo and Muhammad Anwar Khan.
The assistance was announced earlier by the Sindh government for seven earthquake-affected districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The consignment contained 50000 quilts and three heavy duty generators. Director General, Provincial Disaster Management Authority, Sindh, will hand over the relief item to his KP counterpart.
Speaking on the occasion, Khattak thanked the opposition leader and the government of Sindh for their support to the earthquake victims and hoped that the assistance would certainly mitigate the sufferings of the victims. Both the leaders also exchanged their views on CPEC and power loadshedding in their respective provinces and said that a sizeable portion of electricity share of all the smaller provinces was being diverted to Punjab province which was totally against the constitutional provisions.
