The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Nasir Khan Durrani has ordered the suspension of investigation officers including a Sub-Inspector and three Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs) of police stations Mathra, Peshawar and Yaqub Khan Shaheed Police Station Karak with immediate effect and initiation of departmental disciplinary action against them.
According to details, a citizen have submitted a complaint of the conducting of poor investigation in a murder case against the investigation officers (IOs) Police Station Mathra, ASI Bakht Zaman and ASI Farooq Shah. The police chief while taking notice of the complaints checked these matters through senior police officials of Peshawar, which in their reports these complaints fully correct and presented it to him.
In light of the report of the senior police officers, the IGP directed the suspension of the both ASIs Bakht Zaman and Farooq Shah with immediate effect and order departmental action against them. Similarly, another citizen of district Karak has filed an application regarding the substandard investigation of the Investigation Officers (IO) Sub-Inspector (SI) Noor Sali and Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Hamayun Khan of the Yaqub Shah Khan Shaheed Police Station, Karak.
These complaints were also checked through senior police officers and they in their reports presented to IGP declared them correct. The IGP in light of the reports of senior police officers suspended both officers with immediate effect and order departmental action against them.
